FAQ’s & Calendar

Is my child old enough for swim lessons?

Typically we teach children between the ages of 3 and 13 years old.

My child has some water anxiety, what type of lesson do you recommend for him/her to feel most comfortable?

If your child is under 4 years of age or has some water anxiety, we request you sign them up for private one-on-one lessons so more time may be dedicated towards their development.

Can my son/daughter have lessons with a sibling/friend?

Yes! We encourage semi-private lessons because children learn well with their peers. Semi-private lessons are typically arranged for siblings and friends to be in the pool at the same time.

It is raining, do we have a lesson today?

We swim in the rain, but do not swim if there is lightening sighted.  In the event that a lesson is cancelled due to weather, we will endeavour to reschedule.

My child is sick / we are unable to attend lessons today.

If your child is sick or unable to attend, please contact us as soon as possible. In the event that a lesson must be cancelled due to illness or personal scheduling, we will not reschedule, but we will do our best to help your child catch up with the skills he/she is learning.

Do you charge milage for coming to my home?

We are willing to travel within the River Oaks neighbourhood in North Oakville for no additional fees. If you live outside of this area, arrangements can be made. Fees for milage and travel time will be charged. Please contact us directly to inquire about this option.

We do not have our own backyard pool, can I still schedule lessons?

Yes, we can provide lessons in our pool or your backyard pool of choice. If we are at your pool, we require proof of adequate insurance upon request and a responsible adult to be home during the lessons (being on deck is not necessary). Other requirements include a first aid kit, and a phone nearby in case of emergency.
